Shining Sports Organization (SSO) is a community- and youth-driven non-profit organization based in Kinondoni District, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The organization leverages sport as a tool for youth empowerment, social development, and community transformation. Through structured programs and inclusive initiatives, SSO provides children and young people with access to opportunities that foster personal growth, leadership, and positive social impact.
Founded with a vision to transform lives, SSO voluntarily coaches around 250+ kids aged 8 to 18. On weekdays, we train children from local schools, providing fun and engaging after-school activities that go beyond the playing field — including English, computer literacy, robotics, and AI education.

"Sport changed my life, It gave me purpose, community and the confidence to dream bigger. We founded Shining Sports to give every child the same opportunity to grow, learn and belong."
Shining Sports began as a small neighborhood program teaching football and basic life skills. Over the years it has grown into a community hub where children learn teamwork, discipline and crucial life skills on and off the field. Our programs combine sport, education and mentorship to help young people reach their potential.We believe in long-term investment in young people: coaching, school support, digital literacy and leadership development.
